Follow Fat Freddy's Tour N°2

Arrived in Geneva on saturday ....After a five hours drive !!!

Once again we reach some good friends over there. Just a short stop to pick them up and we went to the concert hall. 

There, we obviously had a thought for what happened last night at Le Bataclan in Paris..

We just remember that the week before we were in Paris. That could happen to us, to you, to anyone. The Freddy's also played @ Le Bataclan 6 years ago...

We were still sad about this horror but we wanted to go on..... 

And.....one more time.....here comes the show....a good way to face terrorism...and to spread positive vibes...

Thank for that.

still and ever in the front row.... it was fun to see Chopper recognize us and say hello from the scene...

We now know where is Elvis.....in Hopepa's body !!!!!

That was such a great "so goooooooood" show.....one more.....

We feel the band getting better and better all along the different gigs....and we really never get bored about being there.

This one was the fourth in less than 10 days and we could go to each one....

The friends we brought to the show enjoyed it so much...(it was their first time) and we already plan to go together to Clermont Ferrand gig next april !

That is really cool to see that the shows are always differents....each time they play new songs...this it ended on a crazy "wandering eye"

Next and last one for 2015 will be in Tilburg, Holland....a good way to say bye to the Band....

One more time ....we are sooo lucky...they invite us to the show...!!!

KIA ORA FAT FREDDY'S DROP & WAHNAU ...!

Arrived yesterday evening.....after a day "off" with family in Paris.....and a party night with bros...hips !!

...a good sleep in a hotel where we won...a bottle of champagne by drawing lots !!! unbelievable !!! We are so lucky !

Sunny day in Strasbourg...(still lucky) we rent bikes to visit the city.... Strasbourg is a really cool place to ride...

specially in "La petite France".....an old quarter...very famous...

it's seems to be a perfect day...We found a good restaurant "Le tire-bouchon" (the corkscrew) and ate something we expected....A huge choucroute...!!!

yummmmmmmmmmmm !!! it was soooo good....

but almost too much.....really too much...

"A meal without wine is a day without sun".....and today it's very sunny......so...

 Freddy's tour manager just give us a call to invite us to the soundcheck this afternoon...Yeeehaaaa !!!!

just a few minutes for eat a struddel before.........still huge and too much...but soooooo tasty...really this restaurant is amazing...

but not as much as that incredible moment...just the two of us in "La Laiterie" to see the band during the soundcheck...

really INCREDIBLE.....we are definitely SO LUCKY....we feel like children in Santa's house !!

 It was awesome to exchange few words with some of the Freddy's...as last year...

 ...we found really friendly people who have been very cool with us..

 unforgetable..

We were totally ready for the show....

 As they were...

....we specially loved that gig....the band seemed to have lot of fun....playing and joking together on stage...

Joe Duckie tried to set Hopepa in a hip-hop battle...a great moment....which will make us laugh for a long time

As usual....MC Slave set the audience on fire....and Roady rised everybody's hands up !!!

And they play the Raft...what they didn't during the two gigs before... Another moment of happiness as we love this tune. 

Cortina Motors....to end the show.....is just perfect .....they were living/leaving....

....for us after the show, a night ride through the City to end....what it was......A REALLY PERFECT DAY..... Merci la vie !!! Merci FAT FREDDY'S DROP

and happy to reach some good friends we haven't seen from a while..

We met those guys in 2013 at a Fat Freddy's Drop gig in Garorock festival and we found them back in another FFD show in 2014 at LE BIKINI in Toulouse. As we do, they live in southern France....800km from here.

FFD makes people move !!!

And now here we are !!!! The Olympia....a mythical place...most of our rock n roll heroes have been playing here..

So excited...!!!

As all the audience...electric atmosphere right from the the beginning

the energy in the audience and on stage was really amazing...ROUEN last night was just a warm up....that gig in Paris was totally CRAZY..

MC Slave set the Olympia on FIRE..FIRE..FIRE...FIRE !!!!

Hopepa came right in front of us to play...

After a year....it's so good to see the band live on stage again....You know we feel sooo gooooood...

On stage it's a natural fact. ...!!!!

We always stay in the front row...the perfect place to see Hopepa playing harmonica as he did last year....a moment you cannot find on the record...

Always amazing to see Fat Freddy's Drop live on stage... many new album songs in this gig....groovy atmosphere and hypnotics tunes....Cortina Motors drove us to a trance...

and Hopepa... on FIRE...ran through the audience.....CRAZY !!!!

It's already the end of the show. We so expected it that we feel it was too short....but fortunately.....there is at least three others to come !!!!

Wahoo !!! See you tomorrow in Paris...

After a rough start...

...we finally arrive in Rouen...

....two frenchies never spending a day without listening a Fat Freddy's Drop tune...

Here we are, Anne & Fred. We live in a small pretty village in southern France.

We know and love Fat Freddy's Drop since the beginning but we saw them live on stage for the very first time in 2013.

It was such a fantastic experience that since that day.....we now always want some more...

To satisfy our hunger of FFD live shows, we decided last year to follow them during a part of their European Tour 2014.

This is how we went to Ultrecht, Berlin and London gigs.... By following Fat Freddy's Drop, we finally ended @ Ally Pally after party where we had the chance to meet the band and share some words and drinks with them.

So, here we go again..!!!

Ready for new adventures, for good bass good rythms and good love.....we've already booked 3 gigs in France (Rouen, Paris, Strasbourg) and one in Switzerland (Geneva).....we're even still trying to end in Brussels the 16th....

Today the 2nd "Follow Fat Freddy's Tour" is officially starting from the southern countryside of France.

Yeeehaaaa !!!!

Shall we have the chance to meet again the Drop along the way ???
